Shopify Policy Tips and Tricks!
Policies … boring right?!
Let’s jump right in!
Adding them in the correction location is huge!!
Go ahead and click into your settings > legal
Here is where you will find your refund, privacy, terms of service, and shipping polices.
Do you see “Legal” as the second the last option? Add them here!
This gives customers the option to check terms of service before checking out!!
Depending on your Shopify template, this a a great option if you have unique refund and shipping polices. Or if you legally feel more comfortable with the customer checking the box, knowing they have read into your polices.
Do you see the option under “subtotal” to agree to terms? Pretty cool right??
Policies are in their own navigation category.
When you are creating your navigation, policies are listed as their own category within the backend of Shopify.
Making it easier for you, Shopify, and search engines to find!
To access your navigation:
Online store > Navigation > Add New Menu > Title it “Policies” > Add them here!
The highlighted “policies” allows you to see all your policies in one place. Add them to their own navigation menu to your footer to give customers the policy info their looking for.
Policies are more accessible throughout the entire site.
You’ll find trails of your polices throughout your site, especially on the cart and checkout pages that are less customizable within your theme.
I spy a “Refund Policy” along the footer of this checkout page! Great for when the customer may want to know your policies after they’ve already made it to this step.
